A friendly guide beside you
Nikki’s approach is patient, personal and straightforward. You can talk openly about what worries you, whether it is moving away, busy junctions, parking or the thought of test day. The aim is to build useful skills and confidence together.
Manual or automatic?
If coordinating the clutch and gears feels challenging, discuss both options with Nikki. Automatic driving lessons remove manual gear changes, while manual lessons help you practise those controls. Your choice should fit the type of car you want to drive and your future plans.
Make progress you understand
Explain which situations feel comfortable and which still need work. That gives you and Nikki a useful focus for practice. Confidence takes different amounts of time for different learners; there is no fixed lesson count that suits everyone.
Preparing for your driving test
Being prepared means understanding the road and making safe decisions consistently. Nikki supports both your theory learning and practical preparation, so you can work on your knowledge, technique and confidence together.

Your first conversation
Share your pickup postcode, previous driving experience and preferred times. You can also say what has made you nervous. Based in EH7, Nikki welcomes enquiries about Restalrig, Leith, Portobello, Musselburgh and nearby areas; he confirms pickup personally.
